LIFE’S MOST PRECIOUS GIFTS ARE THE GIFTS OF CARING, AFFECTION, APPRECIATION, AND LOVE.
I owned 2 Quarter Horses growing up in Colorado and was a member of 4H participating in horse shows and county fairs. The daily care of my horses, cats, dogs, rabbits and a goat was routine from age 9 through high school.
Graduating from the University of Colorado, being a wife and mom and working in outside sales positions demanded my full attention. So my love of animals was put on hold.
I got back into horses as a 50 yr. old and have ridden ever since. I learned to ride Hunter Jumper on school horses. In exchange for lessons, I fed the 15-20 horses twice a day moving them from the paddocks to their stalls and back out again. I also mucked and tacked the horses for lessons.
Since moving back to Colorado 7 years ago, I have been consistently riding friends’ horses (a Quarter Horse and a Tennessee Walker) on trails, practicing arena exercises, learning dressage and ground work.
I have owned a dog or two for the past 30 years. Read more about my animal family.
Peter was in the Oil and Gas Industry for 37 years and now spends time appreciating the Colorado mountains, hiking whenever possible with our 2 dogs, skiing, maintaining our 2 acres of forest and, being Gramps for our 2 Grandgirls.
